STATEMENT OF CANDIDATE FOR

Ross School DistrictGoverning Board Member

DARIUS MOZAFFARIAN

Occupation: President of the Board of Trustees, Ross School District; President & Chief Operating Officer, Asset Management Company

Education and Qualifications: I currently serve as Ross School Board President and am honored to seek a second term. I have a proven track record of working effectively with school leadership and our community to ensure that Ross School provides the best possible learning environment for our children.

As the only running Incumbent, I offer continuity and experience at a time when most Board seats are changing. My priorities are to advance academic excellence, prioritize student well-being, strengthen a culture of respect and collaboration, maintain strong governance and financial oversight, and thoughtfully guide the integration of technology in the classroom.

I am a Marin County native with a deep commitment to public education and currently have three children attending Ross School. My volunteer work began nine years ago through the school’s Financial Advisory Committee, which I Chaired before joining the Board of Trustees. This experience gave me a deep understanding of operations, finances and long-term priorities.

Ross residents rightly expect their public school to deliver outstanding academics, engaging student resources, and careful stewardship of public funds. Ross School is an anchor asset in our community, and I am committed to sustaining its standing as a distinguished Top 10 California School District through integrity, collaboration, and a student-centered approach to every decision.

GABRIELLA (GABBY) SOLAR

Occupation: Parent, School Volunteer

Education and Qualifications: Ross has been my home for six years, and I am deeply invested in the success of Ross School, where my two children are students. Through my volunteer leadership roles, I have worked closely with our teachers, staff, administrators, parents, and volunteers, giving me a firsthand appreciation for what it takes to help every student reach their full potential.

As PTO Co–Vice President, Ross School Foundation Communications Chair, and a member of the Financial Advisory Committee, I’ve worked alongside dedicated members of our community to support our students and our school. I believe Ross School’s success is built on strong leadership, dedicated teachers and staff, and an engaged community, and I am committed to building on that success to ensure Ross School continues to thrive.

If elected, I will bring the thoughtful approach I developed through my work in financial planning—listening carefully, planning for the long term, and making responsible decisions. I will work collaboratively, keep students at the center of every decision, support our outstanding teachers and staff, and be a responsible steward of district resources.

I would be honored to earn your support and serve the Ross community as a member of the Board of Trustees.
